Inspired by Nine Inch Nails ‘The Fragile’ LP



Concept

Inspired by Nine Inch Nails’ iconic double LP I wanted to create a concept around the body.
The focus was on how to represent songs such
as ‘The New Flesh’ and ‘The Fragile’. I was particularly inspired by the artist Eva Hesse and her delicate scultures using fibreglass and latex to create a ‘skin suit’ and various forms referring to the fragility of the body. The skin suit took 3 weeks to make, and I found adding another layer of liquid latex every day quite therapeutic. I then made a couple of accompanying pieces for other sections of the packaging.
